On the verge of the first competitive fixture of the season away to Cliftonville on Sunday, Linfield FC Women can confirm that 11 players have accepted professional terms with the club. With the Sports Direct NIFL Women's Premiership introducing a rule change permitting professional contracts, this is an important step in the development and progression of the club’s Women's team.
Club Secretary Neil Morrow commented, "We are delighted the club has taken this step and welcome the board's continued commitment, investment and confidence in their players and staff”.
Alongside senior players Ashley Hutton, Mia Fitzsimmons, Rebecca Bassett and Carla Devine, young internationals Jane McMaster, Rhyleigh Marks, Sienna Leckey, Lucy Johnston, Keri Halliday, Emily Reid and Erin McAllister have signed deals.
