Linfield return to European action welcoming Icelandic side UMF Stjarnan to Windsor Park in the 2nd leg of the 1st Qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League (7.45pm k.o. all-ticket). The winner of the tie will face either Bala Town of Wales or Paide Linnameeskond of Estonia – that tie is delicately poised 2-1 in favour of the Estonians who enjoy home advantage.
The Blues go into Thursday’s game looking to overcome a 0-2 deficit, having been a shade unlucky not to find the back of the net last week. David Healy's men will aim to keep it tight at the back while going for an early goal to put the visitors under some real pressure and succeed over 90 minutes.
It promises to be a tense night for the Linfield faithful under the Windsor Park floodlights; hopefully The Blues can win and make this another memorable night at the Shrine.
