It’s a top v bottom clash as Linfield take on Larne on Matchday 6 of the NIFL Sports Direct Premiership at Windsor Park (3pm k.o.).

Larne come to Belfast playing catch up having made a delayed start to the season due to their exploits in Europe. Tiernan Lynch's side have endured a disappointing campaign so far, drawing 1-1 at Coleraine and losing 0-1 to Ballymena Utd at Inver Park.

With a hectic fixture schedule ahead the Larne manager has added to his panel, with Ryan Nolan most recently joining up with Joe Besant, George Marsh, Josh Sheary, and Sam Todd in East Antrim.

Linfield by contrast have made a flying start to the season, unbeaten and in pole position in the table. A huge factor has been the stellar form of Joel Cooper (4 goals, 6 assists) who picked up the NIFWA Sports Direct Premiership Player of The Month for August.

Whilst no honours are handed out at this early stage of the season, both managers will be looking to lay down a marker in what is always a very competitive fixture.

With a large crowd expected it promises to be another high-octane 90+ minutes of football between two evenly matched sides.
