Linfield return to league action on Matchday 23 of the Sports Direct Premiership when welcoming Carrick Rangers to Windsor Park (3pm k.o.). The teams have already met twice this season with Linfield recording wins by 1-0 at home and 3-1 away.
Carrick Rangers have had a challenging season spent battling to pull clear of the relegation zone. The appointment of Stephen Baxter as Manager in October has, unsurprisingly, been the catalyst for a steady improvement in results. Carrick will be coming to Windsor on the back of a 4-3 home win in the Irish Cup over Newry City and creditable scoreless draws with Crusaders and Larne.
Linfield continue to lead the way in the Premiership title race, separated from the chasing pack by a 10 points buffer. The Blues must strive to keep putting points on the board as the games continue to come thick and fast.
