Linfield Football Club are pleased to announce that goalkeeper David Walsh has signed a one year extension with the club.

David has gone from strength to strength this season for the Blues, making 15 appearances so far this season with his performances landing him NIFWA Player of the Month for December.

Walsh has been at the club since he was 13 years old, coming up through the ranks of the Linfield Academy and in his interview with Linfield TV said “There is no other club in the country I would rather be a part of”.

Manager David Healy commented on David’s extension:

“I’m very happy to have David sign his extension with the club. We’re extremely fortunate as a club to have two of the top goalkeepers in the country fighting it out for the shirt. David has had to be patient for the past number of seasons but when given his chance, he has shown why he has been at this club for such a long time. He’s been a pivotal part of our success with his consistent performances this season and we’re delighted to have him extend.”
