Linfield are back in UEFA Conference League action, welcoming Lithuanian side FK Zalgiris to Windsor Park (7.45 pm k.o. all-ticket). The 1st leg of this 2nd Round Qualifying tie ended goalless in Vilnius and the winner of the tie will face Faroese side Vikingur in the next round.
An entertaining night of football is promised as Linfield go head to head with the Lithuanian champions in this winner takes all clash. The Blues hold a slight edge having returned from the LLF Stadium unscathed after a tightly contested draw (0-0). David Healy MBE will preach caution and patience to his players as they press forward looking for the game’s first goal.
Hopefully The Blues can make home advantage count backed, of course, by the vociferous support of the Linfield faithful in the stands.
