Linfield have been handed an away tie against H&W Welders in the next round of the BetMcLean Cup.

The round of sixteen ties are scheduled to take place on either Tuesday, 4 November, or Wednesday, 5 November, with final details to be confirmed in due course.

The draw was made at the NIFL Headquarters on Sunday, 12 October, setting up an intriguing encounter between the Premiership champions and their Championship opponents.

H&W Welders, who play their home matches at the Blanchflower Stadium, will be looking to make the most of home advantage against a Linfield side they faced earlier this season in the County Antrim Shield. That meeting ended in a Linfield victory at Windsor Park.
