BOXING DAY DERBY: LINFIELD V GLENTORAN

Linfield are on the road again, heading to the Causeway Coast to face Coleraine at The Showgrounds (7.45pm k.o. all-ticket), a rearranged game from August due to European participation.

Coleraine underlined their title credentials last weekend with a 2-0 win over Portadown at Shamrock Park which keeps The Bannsiders in pole position in the table. Expectations of success have been raised at the club this season with the arrival of several high profile players.

Linfield returned to winning ways on Saturday, edging out Ballymena United in a 2-1 win at Windsor Park. The Blues have games in hand and will now look to build up some momentum and put points on the board in a title race that already looks like it could go all the way to the wire.

David Healy’s men will of course be backed by the travelling faithful for what promises to be a competitive 90+ minutes of football between two very evenly matched sides.
