Linfield are in Clearer Water Irish Cup 5th Round action when welcoming Bangor to Windsor Park (3pm k.o. all-ticket). This is The Seasiders’ second visit to Windsor inside a week having lost 6-1 in last Saturday’s Sports Direct Premiership game, making it 3 wins out of 3 for The Blues in games between the sides.

An impressive start to their first season back in the top flight sees Bangor sit in 7th place in the league table and Lee Feeney’s well drilled side have won plaudits for their tenacity on the pitch. The never-say-die spirit within the team is exemplified by striker Ben Arthurs who has hit 9 goals this season, and the experience in The Seasiders’ side comes from former Blues Mark Haughey, Robert Garrett, Gareth Deane and, more recently, Stephen Fallon, who has joined on loan from Coleraine.

A much tougher game is expected this time round and David Healy and his squad will be on their guard against complacency. The Blues continue a congested January fixture list where they compete across 3 competitions, determined to produce the match winning performance needed to secure a place in the hat for the next round draw.
