It is with deep regret that Linfield FC announces the death, after a short illness, of Norman Little, a long-time  Canada based Blueman.
Norman was raised around the corner from the Oval but, like his grandfather before him, he was a Linfield fanatic.

He rarely missed a game home or away from an early age and sold programmes on Lower Windsor Avenue before starting to contribute articles for the publication, edited by Billy Teasey of the Belmont Linfield Supporters Club which Norman joined and eventually became its secretary.

In 1961/62 Norman famously kept a giant scrapbook including every newspaper cutting of the Blues’ Seven Trophy season which was featured on the Linfield website six years ago.

Norman, a brother of broadcaster and former joint editor of Look at Linfield Ivan Little,  emigrated to Canada over 50 years ago and became a leading chartered accountant but he never lost his fervour for his beloved Blues, keeping in touch through Ireland’s Saturday Night and latterly on social media.

And even in a phone conversation from his  hospital bed he asked  Ivan for an update on the results from the post-split games.

Norman leaves a wife Maureen and two children, Sandra and Christopher and three grandchildren.
