Linfield made the trip to North Down to continue pre season preparation with a game V Lee Feeney’s Bangor.

The young Blues side captained by Josh Archer also contained a number of regulars dominated the first half.

Matthew Fitzpatrick opened the scoring heading in from a superbly delivered free kick from Darragh McBrien.

Fitzy doubled the Blues lead on 20 minutes before a solo run and finish form Darragh McBrien made it 3 just after the half hour.

Six minutes before the break Fitzpatrick was brought down just inside the box and the number 9 stepped up to convert the penalty for his hat trick.

The second half was a much quieter affair with both teams making a number of substitutions . David Walsh was rarely tested in the Linfield goal though Bangor did sneak one in with 20 minutes to go .

A useful workout for the Blues running out 4-1 winners.
