Linfield are asking all supporters to dig deep into their pockets at our match against Coleraine this Saturday to support the establishment of a new Community Hub in an area where the late legendary Linfield scout Jim Emery discovered and nourished the future talents of many young footballers.

Dame Mary Peters is heavily involved with this fundraising initiative which aims to introduce state of the art sporting facilities and workshops for the local community at Seymour Hill, a development supported by Lisburn and Castlereagh Council. Dame Mary approached Linfield to see if we would assist with fundraising and asked that donations are made to the fund in memory of her late, dear friend Jim. Below is a recent photograph of the two together before Jim’s passing.

Many of our fans and past players will remember Jim Emery as one of our greatest scouts who brought many wonderful players to Linfield. Jim was widely known and respected right across the UK and Ireland yet he never forgot his upbringing in Seymour Hill.
