The manager met with Blackburn Rovers-bound Aodhan Doherty this past week to wish the teenager well and giving some final words of advice as he takes the step across the water.

David followed Aodhan's development through the Linfield Academy and Scholarship in his time here, handing the youngster his senior debut and including him in European squads last summer. 

Aodhan made 15 senior appearances for Linfield which included 2 starts, 13 coming off the bench and racking up 2 assists.
