A reminder from our Disability Access Officer, Mr Stephen Shaw:

'In recent weeks there have been issues regarding disabled parking at Midgley Park. There are four spaces which are designated for disabled parking. These have been allocated to four named individuals who require them on a match by match basis. Last Saturday, one of them was used by someone, who although they had a “blue badge”, was probably unaware the space had already been allocated to a designated person. This caused both inconvenience and distress to the disabled person assigned to that specific space. In future it is critical that these four spaces are only used by the four designated supporters.

I am also aware that there are individuals who are using the car park fraudulently by giving the name of either a disabled permit holder or Linfield personnel. This is depriving those, who are entitled to park in Midgley Park, of an essential car park space. This practice must cease and those who misuse the Midgley car park facility will be dealt with robustly.'
