REDUCED SEASON TICKETS

There is mid week action for Linfield on Matchday 20 of the Sports Direct Premiership with a rearranged fixture against Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park (7.45pm k.o. with cash payment at the turnstiles). When the teams met at Windsor Park in August Linfield won 3-1.

Dungannon Swifts have surpassed all expectations this season and sit in 2nd place in the table in what is already a memorable campaign. In their last outing they enjoyed a hard fought 1-0 win at Ballymena United and Manager Rodney McAree will be determined to maintain the form that has propelled the Swifts into the mix in this thoroughly unpredictable title race.  One player to watch is striker John McGovern who has proved a key member of the team since joining during the summer from Newry City.

Linfield extended their lead at the top of the table to 8 points with a clinical 3-0 win over Coleraine at Windsor Park. David Healy was particularly pleased with the performances from several players returning from long term injuries, and the highlight of the game was undoubtedly another 'goal of the season' contender from Joel Cooper who slalomed past the Coleraine defence before tucking the ball home. A solid start from The Blues in a hectic festive period when the games come thick and fast.

Hopefully the conditions will be favourable on the night for what promises to an entertaining top of the table clash. A win that sees Linfield  extend their lead at the summit would be most welcome.
