On MD5 of the Sports Direct NIFL Premiership, Linfield welcomed Mid-Ulster to New Midgley Park.
Goals from Ebony Leckey (2), Keri Halliday (2), Rebecca Bassett, Emily Reid and an o.g. secured the 3 points following a 7-0 win.
Linfield took a 5th minute lead when Rebecca Bassett drove home from 10 yards. Linfield doubled the advantage after 9 minutes when Ebony Leckey scored from close range.
Ebony Leckey scored her 2nd and Linfield’s 3rd goal after 23 minutes. Rebecca Bassett was upended in the box by the visiting keeper and referee Louise Thompson pointed to the penalty spot. Ebony Leckey scored the resultant spot kick.
Linfield added a 4th goal after 52 minutes when Keri Halliday fired home a fine, curling strike from the edge of the box into the far corner of the net.
On 62 minutes Keri Halliday added her 2nd goal and Linfield’s 5th. The visiting keeper made a great save from Keri’s first strike but the Linfield forward was not to be denied with the rebound follow up effort which she chipped over the keeper.

It was 6-0 after 78 minutes when Keri Halliday’s left wing cross was diverted past her own keeper for an o.g. by visiting defender Chloe McReynolds.
On 88 minutes Linfield completed the scoring with a 7th goal. Sofie Keenan drove in a strong, low, left wing cross which was flicked into the net at the near post by Emily Reid.
