Linfield are in BetMcLean Cup action, travelling to East Belfast to face PLAYR-FIT Championship side H&W Welders at The Blanchflower Stadium in Round 2 of the competition (7.45pm k.o. £10/£7 pay at gate). In the last round Linfield and The Welders defeated Queen’s University (2-0) and Dundela (6-0) respectively. The teams have already met this season in the Co. Antrim Senior Shield with Linfield winning 6-1 at Windsor Park.

H&W Welders have made a sound start to the season and sit 3rd in the Championship table. Manager Paul Kee has assembled a strong squad which includes former Linfield players like Daniel Kearns and Ethan Devine. 

Linfield come into the game on the back of a scoreless draw with Cliftonville at Solitude. David Healy may shuffle his pack as he looks for a match winning performance from his team and a place in the hat for the next round draw of the competition.
