We have been informed today of the passing of a Linfield player from the 1950s, Ferris Lunn.

Ferris played for Linfield from 1952-1955 and was part of 2 league title winning squads. He won a Charity Shield medal in 1955.

The condolences of all at Linfield Football Club go out to all members of the family circle. 

Also, former Linfield Member and lifelong supporter Billy Boyd has passed away after a long illness.

Shankill Road man Billy (91) came from a family steeped in Linfield traditions and was fortunate to see his favourite players Jackie Milburn, Tommy Dickson and Bobby Braithwaite play, as well as the 1961/62 Seven Trophy team.

Moving to Newtownabbey in the 1960s, Billy served on Newtownabbey Borough Council from 1985 to 1997 and had a deep Christian faith, and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
