It is with sadness that Linfield Football Club announces the passing on 15th September in Melbourne of David Hanna, a striker who played during the 1980’s.
David was a strong running and aggressive centre forward who previously played for Cliftonville, and he moved to Australia late in the decade. Melbourne was his home ever since.
Having battled a number of illnesses, David died peacefully from motor neurone disease and is survived by his wife Debra, daughter Tess, brother John and 94 year old mother Rosena.
Linfield offers its sincere sympathies to the Hanna family at home and in Australia.
Audaces Fortuna Juvat.
