Johnny Houston won multiple winners medals with Linfield, played in the 1st Ireland team that beat England (1913) and helped them win the British Championship in 1914.

In between helping Linfield win the Irish Cup in 1912 & 1916 and 1919 – Johnny went to war and received the Military Medal & additional bar for bravery!

As you can see by the pictures below, Johnny’s final resting place was not fit for that of a Linfield legend, British Champion and decorated war hero.

Thankfully, we have fully restored Johnny’s grave. We will be having a short unveiling ceremony this Saturday 27th April at 11am.

The grave is located in Dundonald Cemetery and a map is shown.  It is very close to the Upper Newtownards Road main entrance.

All are welcome.
