The Linfield History Society sent an open invitation to come along to the third grave restoration unveiling on Saturday morning. The grave of Linfield legend and war hero Johnny Houston was restored by Michael Cockcroft and his team in Dundonald Cemetery after the grave was found in terrible condition.
Club Chairman Roy McGivern opened the short service by welcoming all attendees and thank the History Society and in particular, Michael Cockcroft, for all their hard work so far. Michael then spoken about the player and gave a background on his life with the Linfield club chaplain Paul Reid saying a few words and closed with a prayer.
In attendance were supporters, board members and particular thanks to club ambassadors George Dunlop, Alan Fraser and Eric Bowyer for their continued support of the project.
