Linfield Football Club are delighted to announce that Scholarship Scheme graduate and Linfield Swifts player Jon Graham has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The talented 19-year-old young winger has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal, following an impressive 18 months as part of the league-winning Linfield Swifts side, where his performances consistently caught the eye.
Jon made his senior first-team debut towards the end of last season away to Inver Park, before enjoying a memorable home debut at Windsor Park last week against Crusaders, marking another important milestone in his development.
Speaking after Jon signed his first professional contract, Linfield Manager David Healy praised the winger’s progress through the club’s pathway:
“Jon’s development over the past few seasons has been excellent and he’s thoroughly deserved this opportunity. He’s worked extremely hard within our Scholarship programme and with the Swifts, and his attitude and application have been first-class throughout.
“He’s shown real quality and maturity in his performances, and stepping up to make his first-team appearances is a credit to the work he’s put in. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with Jon and helping him develop further as he begins this next stage of his career at Linfield.”
Everyone at Linfield Football Club congratulates Jon on signing his first professional contract and wishes him every success in the years ahead at Windsor Park.
