Linfield Football Club are delighted to announce that midfielder Kyle McClean has signed a new two-year contract with the club, keeping him at Linfield until the end of the 2027/2028 season.
Kyle, Ulster Footballer of the Year in 2024, joined the club initially on loan in January 2019 before signing a permanent deal at Windsor Park in November of the same year. He has since gone on to become an important member of David Healy’s squad, playing a vital part in our recent league title success.
Speaking to Linfield TV after signing his new deal, Kyle said he has made some incredible memories with good people at the club and hopes to go on and make a few more. Kyle also highlighted his new seniority in such a youthful dressing room which he hopes he can help the younger players around him develop into top Linfield professionals.
Manager David Healy described Kyle as a ‘key-part’ of his squad:
“We’re delighted to have Kyle’s new deal officially confirmed. His quality is well known throughout the league, and he has rightly earned a reputation as one of the top midfielders in the country. Having him commit his future to the club is a massive boost and a clear sign of his belief in what we are striving to build.
Kyle will continue to play a key role within the squad. He is a complete professional and a pleasure to work with both on and off the pitch.
A special thank you once again to our Head of Recruitment, Willie McKeown, for his hard work in getting this deal over the line.”
