Linfield Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of talented young defender Sean Brown on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Larne.
The 20-year-old right back joins the current Sports Direct Premiership champions on a two-year deal, bringing with him valuable top-flight minutes and international pedigree.
Brown spent the last couple of seasons gaining senior experience on loan at Bangor and Ballymena United, making a total of 22 appearances across all competitions last season for Ballymena and Larne.
A former Northern Ireland youth international, Sean has represented his country at various age-group levels and is regarded as one of the brightest young defensive prospects in the league.
Speaking about his move, Sean expressed his excitement at joining Linfield:
“It’s a massive club with a winning mentality and I’m proud to be here. I’m looking forward to working hard and contributing to the success of the team.”
Manager David Healy MBE welcomed the new addition, saying:
“Sean is a player we’ve been monitoring closely. He’s young, hungry, and has already shown he can compete at this level. We believe he has the potential to develop further and make a real impact in the seasons ahead.”
Everyone at Linfield FC would like to extend a warm welcome to Sean and wish him every success during his time at the club.
