BOXING DAY DERBY: LINFIELD V GLENTORAN

Linfield Football Club can announce it will trial a new stadium configuration at upcoming home fixtures, beginning with the visits of Ballymena United and Coleraine.

The move follows a series of recent fan engagement evenings where supporters shared feedback and ideas on how to enhance the matchday experience and atmosphere at Windsor Park.

As part of this trial, away supporters from Ballymena United and Coleraine will be accommodated in the Kop Stand with Linfield support remaining in the South Stand and Railway Stand (if required). This adjustment will allow the club to assess new ways of improving the environment for home fans and enhancing the matchday atmosphere.

Linfield FC Chairman Roy McGivern said:
“Following positive discussions at the recent fan engagement events, the club is pleased to explore new matchday arrangements for our home games at Windsor Park.

The aim of these new arrangements is to improve the atmosphere for home games and enhance the overall matchday experience for our supporters and for those visiting the stadium. We will continue to keep the matchday arrangements under review and welcome further feedback from supporters on this issue.”

Tickets for both matches will go on sale later this week.
