During the club's recent Academy trip to Belgium and France, Linfield Chairman Roy McGivern presented a cheque for £1,000 to the Somme Association at the Ulster Memorial Tower.

This donation is from part of the proceeds for the club's sale of poppy shirts each November. Similar donations will be made to a local branch of the Royal British Legion and to the Beyond the Battlefields charity.
