Linfield FC continued its commitment to youth engagement and community well-being as Club Captain Jamie Mulgrew and Women’s Secretary Neil Morrow delivered UEFA’s Take Care workshop at Millisle Primary School this week.
The workshop, developed by UEFA’s Social and Environmental Sustainability Division, is part of a wider initiative aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging responsible behaviours among children and young people. The session, delivered during Jamie Mulgrew’s regular coaching visit, provided an interactive and inspiring experience for the pupils.
Speaking about the event, Neil Morrow said:
“It’s always a privilege to work directly with young people and help instil positive habits early on. The ‘Take Care’ programme offers a great platform to talk about health, well-being and the importance of making good choices both on and off the pitch.”
The pupils were also treated to a special surprise — the chance to see and hold the prestigious Gibson Cup, much to their delight. The trophy visit added an extra spark to an already memorable day, sparking excitement and pride among the young fans.
Jamie Mulgrew added:
“It’s brilliant to combine coaching with important life lessons. Seeing the kids so engaged with the workshop and then lighting up when they saw the Gibson Cup — that’s what community football is all about.”
Linfield FC remains dedicated to using football as a force for good, working closely with schools, grassroots clubs, and local organisations to inspire the next generation.
