LINFIELD V LOUGHGALL TICKETS

Linfield Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Scottish winger Callumn Morrison from Falkirk FC for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

Morrison, 25, joins the club on a two-and-a-half-year deal, bringing with him a wealth of experience, quality and a proven track record in Scottish football. A product of the Heart of Midlothian academy, he made 30 first-team appearances for Hearts before moving to Falkirk, where he established himself as one of the standout players in the Scottish lower leagues. Callumn also made international appearances for the Scottish national team at under-age levels.

During the 2023/24 season, Morrison played a key role in Falkirk’s historic unbeaten campaign in Scottish League One, securing promotion to the Championship. His performances saw him crowned PFA Scotland League One Player of the Year, while also finishing as the league’s top scorer, claiming the Golden Boot.

During his time at Falkirk, Callumn made over 150 appearances, scoring 64 goals and creating 24 assists.

Linfield manager David Healy spoke on Morrison’s arrival:

“It’s no secret that Callumn is a player we have admired and attempted to sign for some time, and we are thrilled to bring him to Linfield. His pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability will add another dimension to our attacking options and adds more vital title-winning experience to our ranks. With over 30 appearances in the Scottish Premiership and winning the PFA League One Player of the Year last season, Callumn could easily have stayed in Scotland with there being interest from Premiership clubs but has made it clear that he wanted to come to Linfield and build on his ambition to win trophies. I believe he will be a fantastic addition to our squad as we push for further success. I would like to thank the board for their support and backing in this window and as ever, a massive thank you to our Head of Recruitment Willie McKeown for his endless hard work on making this possible.”

Callumn’s agent Nicky Nicholson from QUANIC Sports made a statement regarding the transfer:

“First of all I’d like to thank Linfield with how they have conducted themselves in everything around the transfer and how they have made Callumn and his family feel during the transition. I know Callumn will be a massive success moving forward in his career. I would like to emphasise my respect and gratitude to Linfield’s Head of Recruitment Willie McKeown who has been outstanding to work with throughout the process and it would be a pleasure to work with him again in the future.”

Linfield FC extends a warm welcome to Callumn and looks forward to seeing him in action at Windsor Park. Further details on his availability will be confirmed following the completion of international clearance procedures.
