Linfield enjoy home advantage for Matchday 2 of the 2024/25 Sports Direct Premiership, welcoming Dungannon Swifts to Windsor Park (3pm k.o.).

Swifts made a solid start to the new season when sharing the points with visitors Coleraine in a 1-1 draw, having last season comfortably secured their place in the elite with an 8th place finish in the table.

In his second spell in charge of the club, manager Rodney McAree has recruited the well-travelled John Gregg to his back room staff, and on the playing side the new additions include defender Dylan King and former Northern Ireland U21 international John McGovern (formerly Newry City}.

Linfield kicked off their own league campaign with a deserved 2-0 win at much changed Ballymena Utd at The Showgrounds.

With an almost fully fit squad at his disposal, David Healy will be looking to maintain some early momentum. The Blues will need to be at the top of their game against Swifts who are always difficult opponents.

It promises to be a competitive and entertaining afternoon of football.
