Linfield welcome SSE Airtricity Irish Premier side Galway United FC to Windsor Park on Saturday for the Matthew Clarke Testimonial match (3pm k.o.).

It will be an emotional afternoon for Matthew who will bid a final farewell to the club he has served so well over 11 medal-laden seasons. 

In a stellar tenure at the club he played in 411 games, winning 5 Irish Premiership League titles, 2 Irish Cups, 3 League Cups, 2 Co. Antrim Shield trophies, and made over 40 appearances in Europe. An equally talented and committed defender, he quickly became a firm favourite with the Linfield faithful. Matthew also proved to be a great clubman and an extremely popular figure amongst his peers in several Linfield dressing rooms over the years. 

The visit of Galway United brings the curtain down on what has been a highly successful year of testimonial events for Matthew. All at Linfield Football Club will now bid him a fond farewell as he begins an exciting new chapter at Scottish Championship side Livingston.
