Linfield enjoy home advantage on Matchday 32 of the Sports Direct Premiership, welcoming Newry City to Windsor Park (3pm k.o. all- ticket). The teams have already met twice this season with Linfield winning 6-1 at home and 3-0 at The Showgrounds.
Newry City's fight for Premiership survival received a boost last weekend with a battling 1-0 win at Carrick Rangers. While the border club remain rooted to the bottom of the table, the gap to Ballymena United in 11th place is now just 2 points with 7 games to go. Manager Barry Gray will focus his team on the target of securing the potential lifeline of a Premiership promotion/relegation play off tie.
Linfield approach the business end of the season on a high after defeating Portadown in the BetMcLean Cup Final. David Healy's men will expect a tough game against a Newry side who will try to baton down the hatches.
For Linfield it is now all about building momentum and putting points on the board. Hopefully The Blues can do just that with another crucial win.
