Linfield enjoy home advantage in the Clearer Water Irish Cup 5th Round tie with Ballymena & Provincial Intermediate Football League side Wellington Recreation FC the welcome visitors to Windsor Park (3pm k.o. all ticket). 

Wellington Rec were formed in Larne during the 1950s as GEC after the company of that name. In this season's Irish Cup they have eliminated Dromore Amateurs, Albert Foundry, Richill and Dergview from the competition. Manager Glenn Taggart will relish his latest trip to Windsor Park having twice managed PSNI (in 2020 and 2021). 

Linfield may well start as overwhelming favourites in this classic 'David v Goliath' cup tie; David Healy will however afford Wellington Rec the respect they deserve, putting out a strong side.

The Wellington supporters, though, will certainly hope for more than just a day out at ‘The Shrine'.
