This morning, Linfield FC’s official website was the target of a sophisticated cyber attack, which caused a number of issues for supporters attempting to access the site.
We can confirm that the issue has now been fully resolved and the website is operating as normal. In addition, enhanced cybersecurity measures have been implemented to help protect against similar incidents in the future.
The club can also confirm that no supporter data was compromised or breached from our databases, with the threat successfully neutralised by our cybersecurity software. We can also reassure supporters that the Linfield Superstore website was completely unaffected, as it is hosted on a separate platform.
We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Linfield supporters William Bailie, Alistair Mitchell and a number of other supporters for promptly notifying the club and for their expertise in identifying the issue. We also extend our thanks to our web hosting partners, InfoSoft, for their swift response and professionalism in getting the website back online as quickly as possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank our supporters for their patience and understanding.
