Linfield FC is delighted to announce that promising young right-back Matthew Orr has signed a one-year contract extension, committing his future to the club until the end of the 2026/2027 season.

Orr, who has impressed with his performances and development since breaking into the first team, continues to be an exciting prospect within the squad. Matthew has been growing in maturity on the pitch which has made him a fan favourite and a key part of the club’s long-term plans.

Speaking on the extension, Linfield manager David Healy MBE said:
“Matthew has shown great progress over the past season since he broke into the first-team and has all the qualities we look for in a Linfield player. He’s hardworking, focused, and continues to develop every time he pulls on the shirt. I’m thrilled to secure his services for another year and look forward to watching him continue to grow.”

This extension is another positive step as the club looks to build a strong foundation of talent for the future, while continuing to challenge for domestic and European honours.
