Linfield head down to Portadown for Matchday 5 of the Sports Direct Premiership at Shamrock Park (7.45pm k.o. all ticket). 

Niall Currie’s newly promoted side have had a challenging start to life back in the Premiership, sitting just above the relegation zone, and he has looked to strengthen his squad with both arrivals and departures running into double figures at the club. Through the IN door have come Aaron McCarey and Shay McCartan from Glentoran, among many others. 

Linfield continued their flying start to the season with a comfortable 5-1 home win over Loughgall. Goals from Chris McKee (pen), Sam Roscoe (2), Joel Cooper and Ethan McGee cemented top spot in the league table

David Healy will be wary of the threat posed by a fired-up Portadown side looking to ignite their season with a first win. There should be a great atmosphere under the Shamrock Park floodlights with Linfield supporters selling out the away end of the stadium.
