Linfield Football Club were proud to host 100 Veterans alongside the NI Veterans Commissioner’s Office as part of our Remembrance pre-match proceedings. The veterans were treated to a pre-match meal and a Q&A with Linfield legend David Jeffrey. Our guests were then escorted around Windsor Park and lined up along the front of the South Stand ahead of kick-off and were met by endless applause from the Linfield and Ballymena United supporters who showed their appreciation for their service.

Thanks goes to Moneyslane Flute Band who entertained the crowd during the player warm-ups before the game and at half time with a fantastic performance.

The teams were led out by a Piper which was followed by a wreath laying by representatives from both Linfield and Ballymena, in Remembrance for those who perished in conflict. This was then followed by a minutes silence which was impeccably observed by everyone inside Windsor Park.
