Linfield Football Club is delighted to announce that young striker Rhys Annett has signed a new two-year contract extension, committing his future to the club until the summer of 2027.

Annett, 20, joined Linfield in January 2023 and has since played his part in the senior squad. The talented forward has netted six goals in his first-team appearances so far, including a BetMcLean Cup final strike against Portadown and an important opener in the league against Ballymena United earlier this season. Rhys has continued to develop under the guidance of manager and former striker himself, David Healy.

Speaking about his new contract, Rhys Annett expressed his excitement about continuing his journey with Linfield. “Getting another two years is perfect for me, there's no other place I'd rather be. We're all here to fight for eachothers places and when I get my chances I'm going to take them” he said.

Manager David Healy praised Annett’s commitment and potential, stating: “Rhys is a young player with a bright future ahead of him. He has shown great promise, and we believe he has the talent and work ethic to play a key role for us in the coming seasons. This contract extension is a reward for his hard work, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow and reach the potential we know he is capable of to become a key player at this club.”
