BOXING DAY DERBY: LINFIELD V GLENTORAN

Information for Linfield FC supporters arriving by car

When travelling down the M1, keep going straight for the city ensuring you stay left at the entrance to the Port Tunnel and not enter the tunnel. Once past the Port Tunnel the Bonnington Hotel and Home Farm FC are approximately a 5 minute drive.

Home Farm Football Club,
Whitehall, D09A277
GPS: 53.376297, -6.250140

Home Farm FC have very kindly offered to allow Linfield supporters to park cars on the avenue approaching their grounds and at a car park approximately half way along the avenue on the right hand side. Parking closer to the Stadium is extremely limited.  A Garda will be present and we will try to fill the car park (half way up on the right) 1st. If this car park becomes full, additional parking will be provided on the avenue itself .For cars parking on the avenue it would be best to turn at the entrance to the car park and begin parking to the right hand side of the avenue which is rear and right of the car in the image below (The entrance to the car park can also be seen in the background).

Bonnington Hotel

You will pass the Bonnington Hotel on the left just before the entrance to Home Farm. The hotel has limited parking spaces but some may be available when people arrive. We need to confirm with the hotel if cars can be left here for the duration (it is a matter of how busy the hotel is with guests) but people can double check with reception when they arrive to ensure it is ok. Otherwise, there should be plenty of parking at Home Farm.

The Bonnington Hotel has a bar, restaurant and shop.

Route to the Stadium

From either the Bonnington or Home Farm, the route to the stadium involves turning left onto Griffith Avenue, right at Grace Park Road and the away entrance of the stadium is a short walk at the bottom of Grace Park Road. There will be Gardaí at each junction to direct people and a Garda will remain at Home Farm with the cars. We would ask Linfield supporters to use this route as diversions for home and away supporters will be in place further into Drumcondra.

Away entrance

Linfield fans will enter the Stadium via the Away gate which is located on Richmond Road at the junction of Grace Park Road.

If you have any questions or need any help on the day, the Gardaí on duty will be happy to help.

Further Information:

Please take careful note of the following matchday protocols for our match at Tolka Park, Dublin, that has bee issued in collaboration with Shelbourne FC and Garda:

  • Ticketing: Any Linfield supporter found to have purchased a ticket in the home section will be subject to immediate ejection from the stadium. This instruction has been made explicitly clear by Shelbourne FC and the Garda authorities.
  • Ticket Sharing: If a ticket is scanned upon entry, it cannot be scanned a second time. Individuals attempting to reuse or share tickets will be refused entry.
  • Seating Compliance: All supporters must occupy the seat indicated on their match ticket. Stewards will be present throughout the venue to monitor and enforce compliance.
  • Pyrotechnics: The possession or use of pyrotechnics is strictly prohibited. Any individual found with such items will be denied entry and referred directly to Garda.
  • Flags and Banners: Due to limited space within the stadium, only Supporters Club flags will be permitted. National flags will not be allowed unless they clearly feature Linfield FC or the name of an official Supporters Club.
  • Supporters Club Buses: All organised coaches must report to Applegreen Services at Lusk no later than 18:30. Garda escort will be provided from this location to the stadium. Buses will be parked in a designated compound near Tolka Park.

We ask all supporters to observe these guidelines strictly. These measures are in place to ensure the safety, dignity, and proper conduct of all involved.
