David Healy will mark his 8th anniversary as Linfield team manager this weekend by taking charge of the team for the 417th time in Friday’s Premiership game against Carrick Rangers at the Loughshore Hotel arena.
David Healy was appointed manager on October 14, 2015 minutes before a 1-0 home League Cup defeat by Ballinamallard United.
His first game in charge was a 3-0 win away to Warrenpoint Town on Saturday October 17.
His 400th game in charge was the 3-1 home win against KF Vllaznia in the UEFA Conference League in July.
Linfield’s 1-0 Premiership win in Coleraine in April was David Healy’s 250th competitive win as Linfield manager.
This figure of 250 includes two penalty shoot out wins away to Cliftonville in the County Antrim Shield, both in each of the past 2 seasons.

David steered Linfield to Irish League, Irish Cup and County Antrim Shield success in 2016/17 and led the club to the Irish League and League Cup in 2018/19. He was manager of the Irish League winning team again in 2019/20 and steered the team to the Irish League and Irish Cup double success in 2020/21. In season 2021/22 he was again manager of a League title winning Linfield team. Last season he led Linfield to success in the League Cup Final – his 10th trophy win.
