Linfield make the long journey to The Causeway Coast on Matchday 29 of the Sports Direct Premiership to face Coleraine at The Showgrounds (Friday night 7.45pm k.o. all-ticket).

The game is being streamed by BBC NI and the teams have already met twice this season with Linfield winning both away (3-1) and home (2-1).

This has been a challenging season for The Bannsiders who occupy an unfamiliar 7th place in the Premiership table. A lack of consistency and some heavy defeats on the road have proved to be very costly for Oran Kearney’s side, and their focus must now be on a top 6 finish and possible European qualification from the play offs.

Coleraine do not lack firepower with Matthew Shelvin, David McDaid, Conor McKendry and recent arrival Jamie McGonigle all in the squad.

Friday’s game presents Linfield with the opportunity to regain top spot in the table. Last time out The Blues shared the points with Glenavon, unfortunately conceding a late equaliser, and Manager David Healy will insist on a return to winning form.

Linfield’s recent record at The Showgrounds is 7 points from their last 3 visits and, with points at a premium, an away day win is a must.
