It is with sadness that Linfield Football Club announces the passing of Billy Totten who played for the club during the mid 1980s.

Shankill man Billy was famous for scoring the opening goal of our European Cup tie with Panathinaikos in Athens in 1984.

Billy, who was in his 60s, later went on to play for Coleraine, Glentoran and Lisburn Distillery.

Linfield offers its sincere sympathies to the Totten family at this difficult time.
