Linfield Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Scottish attacker Dylan Wells following the expiration of his contract with Motherwell FC.
The 20-year-old arrives at Windsor Park after progressing through the Motherwell academy system, where he earned a reputation as one of the club’s brightest young talents. Wells made his senior debut for the Scottish Premiership side during the 2023/24 season and went on to feature in both league and cup competitions for the Steelmen.
A product of Motherwell’s youth development programme, Wells was recognised for his performances by being named Motherwell Academy Player of the Year for the 2023/24 campaign. His impressive progress also saw the club reward him with a professional contract extension in April 2024.
The versatile attacker gained valuable senior experience during loan spells in the Scottish Professional Football League, featuring for Edinburgh City before spending time with Stirling Albion.
Linfield Manager David Healy MBE said:
“Dylan is a player we’ve been monitoring for some time. He’s a young, exciting attacking talent with excellent technical qualities and a real desire to improve. His performances within Motherwell’s academy and his experience in senior football at a young age make him a player with tremendous potential. We’re delighted to bring him to the club and look forward to helping him continue his development at Linfield.”
Everyone at Linfield FC welcomes Dylan to the club and wishes him the best of luck in the blue shirt.
