Linfield FC is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter Dessie Sands, who died on Saturday week at the age of 68 following a short illness.

A passionate and dedicated fan, Dessie was a familiar face both home and away, rarely missing a match and proudly holding a season ticket. His unwavering support and presence in the stands will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Dessie is survived by his brothers, Paul and John, who share his love for Linfield and are also devoted supporters of the club.

The funeral service took place on Thursday 17th April at City Church, University Avenue.
