Linfield Swifts’ rising star and NIFL scholarship student, Leyton Hutton, has added another impressive accolade to his growing footballing résumé by captaining the NIFL Scholarship Select side to victory in the U19 Dallas Cup – the most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in the United States.

Held annually in Dallas, Texas, the Dallas Cup draws elite youth teams from around the world, showcasing the next generation of footballing talent. Hutton’s side faced off against English Premier League academy college Everton in a fiercely contested final, where the young Northern Irishmen emerged triumphant with a 1-0 win.

Leyton played a pivotal role in the final, providing the assist for the winning goal and demonstrating the leadership and composure that earned him the captain’s armband. His performance on American soil capped off what has been a standout season for the midfielder.

Domestically, Hutton played a key role in the Linfield Swifts’ successful campaign in the NIFL Premiership Development League, helping guide the team to the league title.
