Linfield FC Girls U15s have returned home triumphant after a sensational weekend in the Netherlands, lifting the prestigious Holland Cup in Almere following an unbeaten run throughout the tournament..
The young Blues dominated the group stages with commanding performances, overcoming Danish sides Amager Pigefodbold and Bramming Boldklub 1, as well as English outfit Durham County FC — all without conceding a single goal.
Their first knockout challenge saw them face another Danish opponent in Bramming Boldklub 2. In a thrilling quarter-final encounter, Linfield ran out with a 4-3 victory to book their place in the semi-finals. There, they met a strong Vejle B team in what proved to be a tightly contested match. A single goal separated the sides, with Linfield emerging 1-0 winners to secure a spot in the final.
The final was a high-scoring spectacle against Brodsworth Warriors FC from Doncaster. Linfield FC Girls U15s showed great character and clinical finishing to come out on top with a thrilling 5-4 victory.
