Our match ball sponsor for yesterday’s Sports Direct Premiership game with Portadown, ‘Hospice Heroes’, receive their signed match ball from Linfield Vice Chairman Stephen Dickson and Directors Paul White and Jonathan Lamont.

Hospice Heroes is a community driven charity sports team, founded in 2019 by brothers William and David Clarke in memory of their mum, Cathy Clarke, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2018 at the age of 49. A passionate and welcoming group dedicated to raising funds for various charities while promoting mental health and wellbeing through sport.
Open to players of all abilities, Hospice Heroes blends the love of football with a strong sense of purpose, using the game as a tool to bring people together, offer support, and make a difference. Over the years, the team has raised thousands of pounds for multiple causes.
The team has gone from strength to strength—expanding its events, increasing community involvement, and even earning recognition such as a “Volunteer of the Year” award in 2024.
