Linfield FC records with sadness the passing of Tommy Walmsley in the Ulster Hospital on October 23.
Tommy, who was 81 years old and from Holywood, was a Linfield season ticket holder and a lifelong supporter since the late 1960s. He followed the Blues home and away, traditionally always sitting in the south stand and he always bought a programme at the matches until recently when he hadn’t been able to get to games due to ill health. However, he always would have looked out for news or watched the Blues on tv.
His funeral service will take place on Friday 1st November at 12pm at St Philip and St James Holywood, followed by burial at Clandeboye Cemetery in Bangor.
The sympathy of everyone at the club has been extended to his wife Esther, son Quinton and the rest of the family circle at this sad time.
